The legacy of Covides winegrowers' past generations gives it its mark of identity. From Gelida to El Vendrell, throughout Penedes more than 2.300 hectares of vineyards spread out over 50 municipalities form the vineyards of Covides Viñedos – Bodegas, an extraordinary diversification of lands which allow the making of a range of wines and cavas (the famous sparkling wine of Spain) of excellent quality and variety.

You'll mostly find Cava production in Catalonia in the northeast by Barcelona. Cava goes through the traditional method of secondary fermentation in the bottle to get its bubbles—like Champagne in France and Prosecco in Italy.Covides wines and cavas are the result of applying modern production techniques and the most innovative facilities.

The harvest takes place between late August and mid-October, in accordance to grapes ripening.
To make the white wines and cavas, they use local grapes varieties such as Macabeo, Xarel.lo and Parellada, and also international varieties like Chardonnay. Worthy of a special mention is the rosé cava, made only with red grapes of the Trepat variety. The red wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, Syrah and Monastrell.
