#ITBBerlin: Strong African participation at ITB 2018

Africa ‘s participation at global travel and tourism exhibitions continue to grow with new countries and companies adding up to the already established names in the trade.

This trend is evident at the on-going International Tourism Bourse (ITB) in Berlin, German. ITB is the world’s leading travel and tourism exhibition held every year in the first week of March.

At the opening of the exhibition, the Africa Halls, 20-21 saw lots of activities at the various country and company stands.

East Africa’s quartet of Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda lead the pack with a gigantic EAC stand followed by South Africa’s ever busy imposing stand. Ghana, Gambia, Cote Di’voire, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius, Reunion, Cameroon, Togo, Congo completes the list of countries exhibiting at the fair grounds.

African Tourism Ministers are expected to hold close door meeting with leadership of the United Nations World Tourism Organization led by its Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili .
