It’s official: Seychelles has a new anthem: and it’s already got the island dancing. Boom Se Se, the freshly launched theme song for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Seychelles 2025™, is more than just a tune. It’s a celebration, a throwback, and a bold step into the global spotlight.

Acclaimed music stars Elijah and Taniah, two of the country’s most beloved performers, have teamed up to create the sound of Seychelles’ biggest-ever sporting moment. Their high-energy collaboration will be performed live during Friday’s tournament draw, which streams on FIFA+.

“This song is a celebration of a special moment for Seychelles,” said Elijah, whose genre-blending style has charmed fans for over three decades. “Wherever people hear it, it’ll get them moving. It’s the perfect soundtrack to a tournament full of energy and excitement.”

Taniah, known for her powerful vocals and soulful presence, added: “It’s a huge honour to represent my home nation. I’m proud to perform this song alongside Elijah. What a moment this is for all of us.”

The title Boom Se Se comes from a traditional Seychellois children’s game, linking the country’s cultural heritage with the electric atmosphere building around the tournament. It’s catchy, it’s danceable, and most importantly it feels like Seychelles.

The song had its first public outing during a vibrant launch event in Victoria, where crowds gathered to hear it echo through the capital’s streets. Children posed with tournament mascot TiKay™, fans snapped up official merchandise, and local leaders including Principal Minister Jean-François Ferrari: turned up to show their support.

Emy Casaletti-Bwalya, Marketing and Communications Director for the Local Organising Committee, called Boom Se Se “the perfect song to capture the excitement that’s reaching fever pitch.”

From 1–11 May 2025, Seychelles will welcome 16 teams to its shores, including heavyweights like Brazil, Portugal and Italy, as well as debut hosts Seychelles. It’s the first time the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup is being held in Africa and the first major FIFA tournament for the island nation.

Tickets are already on sale, starting from just $10, offering fans a chance to witness top-tier sport in a postcard-perfect setting.

As the countdown begins, Boom Se Se isn’t just a song;it’s a signal. Seychelles is ready.
