Angola, Uganda and Mozambique among top fastest growing destinations for leisure travel

A report by the World Economic Forum puts Angola, Uganda and Mozambique in the top 10 fastest growing destinations for leisure travel spending between 2016 and 2026.

The three are the only African nations mentioned in the report which made an overall compilation of the top ten tourism destinations globally within the same period.

Bay Bridge – Maputo, Mozambique

China leads the pack with over 127 million tourists expected to visit the country each year by the end of the next decade.

The report cites, Euromonitor International’s Head of Travel Caroline Bremner at the World Travel Market in London, saying: “Destinations like China are poised for a successful performance in inbound tourism, with China set to overtake France as the leading destination worldwide by 2030.”
