The Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Ambassador Zurab Pololikashvili is confident players in the tourism ecosystem can create A Davos type system in Madrid.

Addressing a gathering of global tourism players at this year’s HotusaExplora in Spain, the Secretary General said Madrid is the World’s tourism capital and major stakeholders in the travel and tourism sector can create its own Davos where important and major tourism policies and events can be discussed to the benefit of the world’s leading sector.

In attendance of the Hotusa was the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez , The CEO of World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Gloria Guevara Manzo , other dignitaries.

The event unofficially opens the week when Spain’s biggest and one of the globe’s tourism exhibition Féria de Turismo(FITUR) InternationalTourism Fair opens less than 24 hours from now.
