KTF expresses appreciation to diplomatic community for support following Riverside Incident

The Kenya Tourism Federation (KTF) has expressed appreciation to the diplomatic community in the country for its support in the wake of the Riverside Drive attack earlier this month in Nairobi.

In a statement signed by Chairman of the Federation, Mohammed Hersi, KTF also thanked President Uhuru Kenyatta, Cabinet Secretary of Wildlife and Tourism, Najib Balala and the entire government for acting expeditiously to contain the situation.

KTF through the government according to the statement engaged foreign embassies of Kenya’s tourists’ source markets to Kenya based in Nairobi. “We are happy to report that they have given their commitment to support Kenya in the fight against terrorism as well as support the growth of the tourism industry as well as other business interests,” the statement averred.
