#MITE2019: VoyagesAfriq, others receive award for promoting Destination Malawi

VoyagesAfriq was among a tall list of entities that were recognised and awarded last night for helping push destination Malawi and the Malawi International Tourism Expo, MITE in particular.

At a special cocktail and awards night organised for hosted buyers, sponsors and partners at the Latitude 13 Lilongwe, Permanent Secretary for the country’s Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Dr. Ken Ndala expressed appreciation to all those who were awarded for their continuous support in helping promote Malawi as a preferred tourist destination and more importantly, in the successful organization of MITE2019.

He was particularly happy that over the years, not only have MITE grown in numbers but also the quality of buyers and exhibitors who are drawn from all over the world. Winners included Robin Pope Safaris, Kayak Africa, Avis, CrosssRoads Hotel, Kumbali, Central African Wilderness Safaris, Latitude 13, Lilongwe, Umodzi Park, Malawi Gaming Board, the Makokola Retreat, Tongole Wilderness Lodge, Madidi, Malawi Telecommunications Limited, Kwese TV among others.

VoyagesAfriq has been an international media partner to the Malawi International Tourism Expo since last year and in line with promoting African destinations, continues to promote the Southern African country through its online activities and in the VoyagesAfriq Travel Magazine.
