The Confederation of African Athletics has named Sports Marketing Agency, Vanquish as its exclusive media and marketing agent for the next four years.

The objective is to consolidate and increase the value of the African Athletic Confederation through widespread work with the Spanish international agency, which has offices in LATAM, North America and Europe.

The agreement between the Confederation of African Athletics or Confédération Africaine d’Athlétisme and VANQUISH has been signed for the development of marketing and commercial strategies, focused on both local and global markets; with the goal of generating sponsorship and increasing the already considerable awareness of the Confederation.

The CAA is committed to growing participation in the sport, with this partnership working to increase CAA resources to make this a reality. The two partners will co-operate to give the CAA the visibility and prestige it deserves, positioning Africa as a continent for athletic excellence which is recognized throughout the world.

VANQUISH is an international marketing agency specialised in sport, entertainment and eSports with representation in Madrid, Turin, Sao Paulo, London, Buenos Aires and Mexico City.

VANQUISH creates content through tailored stories, generating lasting connections between brands and their consumers; positively influencing the positioning, interactions and awareness of our clients.

For some time now VANQUISH has developed an international reputation that has led it to continue building the worldwide image of talents such as Fernando Alonso, two times Formula 1 World Champion, Gianluigi Buffon, World Cup champion and legendary Juventus goalkeeper, Luis Figo, former Real Madrid CF “galactico”, Juampi Sorin, former Argentina National Football team captain, and many others. VANQUISH also has considerable experience in the commercial field and has been chosen by major brands such as Wish.com, National Geographic, Asics, Logitech, Tencent, the United Nations and Fox Sports to define, conceive and implement positioning strategies.

The company philosophy is to approach marketing as an ecosystem that integrates the entire commercial system: tools that combine cutting-edge technology and big data to identify insights and design, with powerful experiences that improve and increase business profitability.

In these sense, Hamad Kalkaba Malboum, President of CAA, explained
“We have decided to make the most of the great work that is carried out daily by all the people who work for the Confederation and the commitment made by our athletes who constantly assert themselves in the main international competitions. The African Athletics Confederation has identified VANQUISH as the ideal partner for their presence in the global market and for the ability of their professionals who engage in different areas in which we believe we need to increase our awareness: marketing, sales and communication. We are confident that we will achieve great results together”.

Andres Tortarolo Fragola, CEO of VANQUISH, said
“This is an important moment for our agency. We have been operating worldwide for years, delivering amazing well-known campaigns for leading brands and athletes, but the partnership with CAA represent an exciting opportunity for VANQUISH to revamp and shake up the African Athletic scene. Our obsession will be to help CAA in taking the next step in order to open its discipline to all the markets worldwide and to bring more eyeballs to these fantastic events”
