Rwanda’s Tourism Chamber celebrates excellence at 2nd Tourism Awards

The Rwanda Chamber of Tourism has celebrated inviduals and organizations who have excelled in the industry during the year 2019 in review.

The chamber which is the umbrella body of the private sector of the tourism sector awarded twenty five deserving individuals and entities at this year’s awards. This year’s ceremony was themed around human development capital.

Addressing the gathering at the Kigali Convention Centre Mrs. Rica Rwigamba, Rwanda country manager of MasterCard Foundation announced a partnership with the Chamber as its newest partner to join the Hanga Ahazaza project that seeks to increase employment for 30 million youth in 5 years”

Anita Umutoni won the Industry rising star of the year 2019. she is the first Rwandan young female general manager of a luxury tented camp Magashi Wilderness Safaris in Akagare National Park.

The private sector contributes significantly to the success of the tourism industry in Rwanda.
