Boity’s debut single “Wuz Dat” has already reached platinum status making her the first-ever female rapper in South Africa to reach that position and her follow up single “Bakae” with an all-time peak at number five on the Radiomonitor RAMS top 100 chart, this rap sensation is owning her thrown.

On this record 4436, stand out tracks include Six Plus Four, in which Boity plays around with a lyric sample and references to TKZee’s hit, Dlala Mapantsula. Ndak’betha sees Boity going toe-to-toe with Xhosa rapper, Yanga Chief & hip-hop veteran, Maggz. On 2 Sexy, featuring Cotton Club Records founder and rapper, Riky Rick, Boity shows evidence of sharpening her craft and drops some hard-hitting bars to relay the message that she’s arrived, and is only just getting started. The 8 tracks allow Boity to flex her fresh rhyme skills, clean flow, cheeky and feisty yet sleek delivery.

The EP features production by well-known lyricist and producer, Nasty C as well as Mafikeng trio, Ganja Beats, among others. The beats are a good mix of trap and boom-bap, allowing Boity to spit her commanding, if not brazen bars. Overall, 4436 is Boity’s solid attempt at proving that she is fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in South African hip hop.

“I am beyond excited, nervous and even more excited to release this body of work, it’s been a long time coming. I want to thank my fans for their patience, my producers for the same patience and the work they put in. I honestly can’t wait for the fans to hear this! We worked!” added Boity

In celebration of this milestone, the Bakae hitmaker hosted her EP launch at Rockets Bryanston in an old school Hip Hop Themed event. Rapper chatted to music journalist Helen Herimbi about the journey and creation of this body of work. Special guests included “018’s Finest” feature Maglera Doe Boy, fellow rapper Moozie, HHP DJ Ms Cosmo, Riky Rick and many more.
