TOUGHA inaugurates 11-member Advisory Board and ad hoc committees

The Tour Operators Union of Ghana (TOUGHA) has inaugurated an eleven-member Advisory Board and other ad hoc committees to help in the smooth running of the Union.

The Advisory Board will be a powerful , value-adding asset for TOUGHA’s Executive Council in changing the business environment the organisation operates in. Members of the Board were drawn from varying fields of the tourism industry including, academia, travel and tour and others who occupy leadership positions in the industry.

The Advisory Board is mandated among other things, to provide high-level, long-term strategic insight to the Executive Council and make introductions, open doors and generate new leads. It is also charged with the responsibility of providing critical policy insight and direction to the Council and the President to enable them deliver more effectively to the needs of the TOUGHA constituents.

The inauguration was done at the first-ever end of year “Get-Together” organised by the President of TOUGHA, Alisa Asamoah last Friday, December 18th at the Accra Tourist Information Centre. The event was also used to relaunch the Union’s website.
