April marks 15 years since the inception of Amani Spas. The holistic wellness company plans to celebrate with the opening of their Johannesburg flagship spa, a collaboration between Tammy Taylor Nails and Radisson Hotels situated at the new Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre Johannesburg, O.R. Tambo.

Amani, deriving from the Arabic word for hope, is a diversified wellness consulting and franchise company with spas in 11 countries on the African continent. The company represents a unique offering of spa innovation, creativity and extraordinary experiences that focus on promoting wellness as a way of life. Owner and founder, Ronleigh Gaddin says that she never imagined fifteen years ago that Amani would grow to have the largest Spa footprint on the African continent.

Since its inception, Amani has focused on blending wellness, travel and experiences at exceptional destinations, creating life-defining moments and memories for each guest. The company has been recognized for their significant contribution to Global Wellness tourism, having received 12 prestigious International Spa Awards. Some of their spa locations include Masai Mara, Kigali, Cape Town’s Waterfront and more.

Ronleigh Gaddin, CEO, Amani Spas, said, “The vision behind Amani Spas is to make wellness and health a part of everyday life. From the very first spa our mission was to encourage holistic wellbeing. In this way, all of our menus and spas since have been designed to evoke a true sense of rejuvenation, transformation and connection.”

As part of their passion for spa and wellness innovation Amani has spent time developing treatments aimed at one of the biggest growing markets, corporate wellness. Now more than ever, companies are realizing the importance of promoting health and wellbeing in their employees. This is a service which Amani plans to bring to the Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre O.R. Tambo, Johannesburg which is home to a 1200 capacity international conferencing venue.

The Radisson Spa & Wellness Centre will boast 6 spacious treatment rooms including 3 couples treatment rooms which skilled Amani therapists will operate. The facilities also include a Himalayan salt room, indoor pool, multiple relaxation areas and a venue for wellness aesthetic treatments. These are complimented by a full Tammy Taylor Nail bar and an on-site unisex hairdresser. Food and beverage facilities include a unique pool side Champagne bar and light immune-boosting menu.

Amani is proudly owned and operated by women and dedicated to female empowerment. Therefore, it only seemed right to coordinate the opening of their Johannesburg flagship spa with National Mother’s Day. In celebration the Spa is offering a full day’s experience that includes a facial, massage, mani & pedi with polish as well as lunch and bubbly. However, instead of limiting the special to women and children, the centre is encouraging the celebration of ‘Caregivers’ in any form. While the Radisson Spa & Wellness Centre is only set to open in May, bookings for the opening ‘Mother’s Day’ special have already opened and can be arranged by contacting the hotel. The special will run for the entire month of May.

Rob Van der Velden, General Manager, Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre, Johannesburg, O.R. Tambo said, “The Radisson brand strives to create spaces that encourage work life balance. Our aim is to enable our guests to embrace the art of being in the moment. Through our partnership with Amani Spas and Tammy Taylor Nails we have created a truly incredible wellness offering. We look forward to inviting our guests to experience the new Radisson Spa & Wellness Centre.”

Today, Amani Spas is the leading hospitality African Spa brand and creator of exceptional spa and wellness experiences in sought-after destinations across the continent. 15 years of hard work have built a spa brand that is synonymous with innovation, African luxury and authenticity, in harmony with its natural surroundings, its holistic signature treatments, impeccable service and attention to detail.

Set to open in May, the Radisson Spa & Wellness Centre will offer locals, destination travelers and corporate groups a place to focus on health and balance.
