Three Ivorian ministers on Saturday night immersed themselves, in the game of the model, during a fashion show, on the occasion of the 15th edition of Afrik fashion show, held in Abidjan.

Invited by the master of ceremonies, TV host Mariam Coulibaly, the Minister of Tourism and Recreation, Siandou Fofana, the head of diplomacy Kandia Camara, and the Minister of Promotion of SMEs and Crafts, Félix Anoblé , marched with applause from the public.

Shortly before, the Ivorian artist Manadja, member of the Magic System Group, appeared on the scene, dressed in a purple suit, sketching steps all along the podium to show off his pomp, sumptuous and radiant. He had Caroline DaSylva’s TV host by his side.

The models who made the opening parade of the 2021 edition of Afrik fashion show, promoted by Ivorian Isabelle Anoh, were dressed by the renowned stylist, Pathé’O, one of the late Nelson Mandela’s couturiers.

Pathé’O said “thank you to the ministers who enhanced this ceremony by their presence”, before launching to the place of the assistance “bring (what the continent produces because) Africa must be developed by Africans “.

The 15th session of this great fashion mass, dedicated to “creativity and elegance”, had the theme “Promotion of Made in Côte d’Ivoire”. This theme illustrates the fight for the Made in Côte d’Ivoire label by Ms. Isabelle Anoh.

Meeting of creativity, on the shores of the Ebrié lagoon, Afrik fashion show, took on the challenge of bringing together 15 Ivorian stylists representing four generations of designers, who exhibited their know-how.

One of the innovations of this edition is the ephemeral sale which started on the morning of Saturday and which ended after the parade which demonstrated the resilience of stylists and fashion designers, also impacted by the effects of the pandemic. of Covid-19.

“The Ivorian brands that exhibit confirm our choice to promote the Made in Côte d’Ivoire label,” said Ms. Isabelle Anoh, who praised the players in the ecosystem, models, textile manufacturers, those of hairdressing and cosmetics.

From Tendance Party to Afrik fashion show, Isabelle Anoh, despite the challenges of the course, has always been able to give impetus to her dream and her passion. This adventure has been going on for 15 years, which has improved over the years.

She announced that from the 16th edition, the Afrik fashion show will now be called “Afrik fashion week” and will extend over several days with a Scientific Committee, an Organizing Committee and greater participation of fashion players.

More than a thousand people, fashion fittings and coming from various horizons of the continent, took part in the 15th edition of Afrik fashion show, which unveiled brands such as “Missano” by I. Anoh or Diamond couture.
