Meliá Hotels & Resorts
Every year, one of the Melia Hotels International brands takes its turn centre stage at its FITUR stand, and this year the spotlight will fall on Meliá Hotels & Resorts. ‘So, the essence of this brand will flavour the design and decor of the spaces at our stand, but we’ll also have a special place reserved for our Paradisus by Meliá brand, since this year we’re coming with a raft of new developments that we’ll reveal at the trade fair’, according to the company.
Alongside this, ‘we’ve decided to stick with hybrid formats to enable us to connect to a wider audience, and we’ve planned a whole series of events that will take place live at our stand and streamed on our social media’.
Specifically, ‘on Wednesday (19 January) at 12.30pm we’re holding a press conference with our CEO, Gabriel Escarrer, while in the afternoon we’ll be joined at our stand by the writer Isabel Durán, author of the recently published biography of Meliá president, Gabriel Escarrer Juliá. All of this will also be livestreamed on social media’.
FITUR is one of the leading trade fairs in the global panorama of major tourism events and a pre-eminent hub for the Ibero-American market. Organised by IFEMA MADRID, the 42nd International Tourism Trade Fair will run from 19 to 23 January 2022 at the exhibition centre in the Spanish capital, with the support that comes with the Government’s declaration that it represents an event of exceptional public interest. Alongside this backing is the significant support it receives from institutions, countries and destinations, hotel chains, tour operators and agencies, technology firms, suppliers and transport companies, all of whom help make FITUR a benchmark event and a major platform for showcasing innovation, new presentations and future trends focused on specialisation, technology and sustainability – an unmissable show for the entire international tourism industry value chain.
