Nominees of Africa Tourism Leadership Awards 2023 announced

The organiser of Africa Tourism Leadership Awards, Africa Tourism Partners has announced the top 5 finalists of this year’s awards. Over 200 nominations for the nine categories were received from across the African continent for awards that ran from 23 June to 15 August 2023. That was followed by a rigorous adjudication process by international panel of judges to select the top five (5) finalists.

The Africa Tourism Leadership Forum and Awards categories are as follows.
• Leading in Progressive Policies’ Award

• Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award
• Outstanding Africa Tourism Media & Marketing Award
• Championing Sustainability Award
• Most Innovative Business Tourism Destination Award
• Outstanding Accommodation Facility / Group Award
• Outstanding Tourism Transportation Award
• Destination Africa – Lifetime Award

Announcement of the winner, first and second runner up is scheduled for 06 October 2023 at an Awards Gala Dinner in Gaborone Botswana. The programme preceding the Awards Gala Dinner will include among others, high level trading day and training (B2B sessions, desktop exhibition, destination showcase, tourism entrepreneurship Masterclasses), networking cocktails, AfCFTA Forum on Tourism, Creative Arts and Cultural Industries and the Africa Tourism Leadership Forum sessions. These will take place from 03 to 06 October 2023.

Over 500 physical participants from across the world including thought-leaders, media, travel trade, industry practitioners, hoteliers, policy-makers, renowned experts and are expected to attend the Africa Tourism Leadership Forum & Awards (ATLF) 2023 in Gaborone Botswana.
