In a strategic move to drive investment opportunities across Africa’s travel, tourism and investment sector, Africa Travel Week (ATW) has entered into a partnership with Tourism Investment Forum Africa (TIFA).

Scheduled to run alongside WTM Africa from 10 – 12 April at the CTICC in the Host City of Cape Town, TIFA actively positions the continent as an attractive investment destination of choice, further promoting growth and development in related sectors of their economies.

“TIFA provides an important platform for policymakers and investment professionals from Africa and around the globe to engage, collaborate, and secure business while driving national priorities for economic growth and job creation,” explains Megan De Jager, Portfolio Director at Africa Travel Week.

“As a landmark 10th edition of Africa Travel Week (ATW), our alliance at this year’s show not only creates an exciting value-add for attendees but further unlocks the tremendous potential of the travel, tourism and investment sector to drive economic and social prosperity across the continent. The African Continental Free Trade Area brings a wealth of opportunities that can be leveraged and accessed through TIFA.”

The three-day event programme for 2024 consists of investment showcases, presentations on policy, trends, and developments, expert panel discussions, and the chance to conduct site visits to various investment project locations. Importantly delegates can meet each other at the WTM which will advance their strategic intentions.

“Last year’s summit attracted over 190 delegates and saw 13 countries and regions presenting more than 50 investment projects and opportunities across the African Continent. This is the vigour and energy that is required to ensure Africa is able to take its place as an investment destination of choice. The opportunities exist. What is required is to connect investors with the projects and this is what TIFA brings to delegates,” adds Miller Matola, CEO of Millvest Advisory, the conveners of TIFA.
