As the highly anticipated World Travel Market (WTM) Africa 2024 approaches, the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) is primed to dazzle attendees with an immersive experience showcasing the unparalleled beauty and adventure that Namibia has to offer. Scheduled from April 10th to 12th, 2024, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, this year’s event promises to be a milestone in Namibia’s quest to solidify its position as a premier holiday destination on the African continent.

NTB, along with 15 co-sharers, will occupy Stand D05, transforming it into a hub of activity pulsating with the energy of Namibian hospitality and culture. Notable attendees include Hon. Heather Sibungo, Deputy Minister of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism; Mr. Bonnie Mbidzo, NTB Acting CEO; and Charmaine Matheus, Head of Marketing, among others.

Showcasing under the theme “Travel,” Namibia’s presence at WTM Africa 2024 aims to captivate visitors with the country’s diverse landscapes, rich wildlife, and authentic cultural experiences. The highlight of the exhibition will be the Happy Hour networking session on April 10th at 18:00, offering a delightful opportunity for industry professionals to forge meaningful connections amidst the enchanting ambiance of the Namibia stand.

Adding to the excitement is a stand competition featuring enticing prizes such as accommodation vouchers and destination experiences. Attendees can also look forward to engaging with prominent sponsorships including Naankuse Ecotourism Collection, Namibia Wildlife Resorts, and Travel Hub, thereby fostering valuable partnerships and collaborations.

The objectives of Namibia’s participation at WTM Africa 2024 are multifaceted, ranging from strengthening the Destination Namibia brand to facilitating business matchmaking between Namibian operators and international buyers. By positioning Namibia as a preferred holiday destination and highlighting its Unique Selling Points (USPs), NTB endeavours to create lasting awareness and generate increased interest among global travellers.

Joining the Namibian exhibitors’ team are both private and public entities such as Namibia Wildlife Resort, Ondili Lodge Namibia, Exclusive Reservations & Marketing, SES Travel Agency, and many more, collectively representing the diverse facets of Namibia’s tourism industry.

With WTM Africa being the continent’s premier tourism marketplace, attracting over 8,300 industry professionals and 577 exhibitors in 2023, Namibia Tourism is poised to leverage this platform to showcase its unparalleled offerings and pave the way for a thriving future in the global travel landscape.

As the days wind down to the start of WTM Africa 2024, the Southern Africa country is prepared to steal the spotlight and beckon travellers from across the globe to experience the magic of this extraordinary destination.
