Sigelege Hotels, one of Malawi’s leading home-grown hospitality brands, has today announced its decision to transition from its management role at Sigelege Boutique Hotel, located in Area 42 Lilongwe, effective 30th of September 2024.

This strategic decision aligns with the company’s broader vision and operational goals, as it seeks to focus on new market opportunities and ultimate value creation for diverse guest experiences within the brand.

“Sigelege Hotels has been proud to manage Sigelege Boutique Hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high service standards throughout this period. As part of this transition, a new management team, will take over the operations of the hotel under a new name,” a statement issued by the hotel said.

The hotel added, “The transition process will ensure minimal disruption to guests, with all reservations remaining unaffected. Sigelege hotels will work closely with the in coming management company to ensure a smooth handover and transition. Guests with enquiries regarding their upcoming reservations can still contact our reservations team during the transition process.”

Sigelege Hotels said they are grateful for the support from key stakeholders and loyalty to the brand. “We take this opportunity to reassure our guests of future product extensions which will be launched in the near future to energize the brand. As we shift to new initiatives, the brand is still committed to continue offering excellent service through our existing properties Sigelege Beach Resort in Salima and Sigelege Suites in Area 10, Lilongwe,” the hotel assured.
