President Duma Boko appoints Boipuso Mmolotsi as Botswana’s new Minister of Environment & Tourism

Botswana’s new President, Duma Gideon Boko has appointed lawmaker, Mr Boipuso Wynter Mmolotsi as the country’s new Minister of Environment and Tourism.

Mmolotsi has been the Member of Parliament for the Francistown South constituency since 2009 and was Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee from 2021-2023.

With a background in education, agriculture, wildlife and natural resources, the new Minister who takes over from Nnaniki Wilhemina Tebogo Makwinja is expected to bring in changes to Botswana’s tourism sector to ensure consolidation of gains in recent years while boosting visitor numbers.
