Airlink regrets to announce disruptions to some of its daily services from Johannesburg and Cape Town to Maputo in Mozambique due to the current civil unrest in that country.

Today’s early morning flights from Maputo to Cape Town, 4Z 370 at 06h35, and Johannesburg (4Z 271 at 07h20), were cancelled and subsequently combined with all passengers re-accommodated on flight 4Z 277 from Maputo to Johannesburg, which departed at 09h55. Cape Town-bound passengers were re-routed via Johannesburg to their final destination, Cape Town.

Airlink will continue to monitor the situation in Mozambique and in particular Maputo on a daily basis and make the necessary schedule changes or adjustments. Any changes will be communicated to booked customers via SMS notifications or the FlyAirlink App.

The above disruptions currently affect Airlink’s night-stop flights from Cape Town and Johannesburg into Maputo and Airlink’s early-morning departures back to those destinations.

At this time, none of Airlink’s other Mozambique services to and from Beira, Nampula, Pemba, Tete, or Vilanculos are currently affected.

Airlink will resume normal services to and from Maputo as soon as the situation in and around the airport allows.
In the meantime, customers can contact Airlink’s Reservations Support Desk between 05h00 and 21h00 on tel +27 (0)11 451-7300 and select Option 1, by email at e-Ticketing@flyairlink.com, or their travel agent for assistance with booking changes as per Airlink conditions of carriage and fare rules for flights to and from Maputo for tomorrow and beyond.

Airlink’s Maputo flight schedule is available on our website at https://www.flyairlink.com/en-za/flights-to-maputo.
