Tourism Seychelles’ representative office in Italy successfully organised a four-city roadshow from 17th to 20th March 2025, bringing the charm of Seychelles to key travel industry stakeholders in northern Italy.

The team, represented by Ms. Danielle Di Gianvito, Marketing Representative, Ms. Yasmine Pocetti, Senior Marketing Executive, and Ms. Eleonora David, Digital Communication, successfully showcased the beauty and allure of Seychelles to travel professionals. The events were held in Torino, Milano, Venezia Mestre, and Bologna at prestigious venues following a workshop and dinner format.

The roadshow featured participation from notable local partners, including Club Med, Constance Hotels, Ethiopian Airlines, Laila Resort, Paradise Sun and Anantara Maia, STORY, Turkish Airlines and Welcome Travel DMC.
Speaking about the event, Ms. Di Gianvito highlighted the positive feedback from the participants, particularly regarding the turnout and organisation of the roadshow.

“Northern Italy continues to account for a significant percentage of total arrivals from Italy. During the workshops, the interest was high, and our presence, independent of tour operators that organise several events throughout the year, was appreciated by the trade, which had the chance to get general training on the destination and learn more in detail about the partners’ different products”.

The primary goal was to boost Seychelles’ visibility amongst travel agents and provide in-depth training on the destination’s diverse holiday experiences. A notable highlight was the participation of the newly appointed Seychelles Honorary Consul in Milan, Mr. Maurizio Mengassini.

The event featured round-robin workshop sessions with networking opportunities, and destination presentations from attending Seychelles partners. These workshops equipped the agents with the knowledge and confidence to promote and sell Seychelles as a premier travel destination while offering local partners a valuable platform to showcase their products and expertise.

The participants also had the opportunity to win prizes sponsored by partners, including accommodation and excursions, amongst other goodies, to experience in person what Seychelles has to offer.

The Italian market remains one of Seychelles’ top five source markets, recording 3,419 arrivals as of 16th March 2025. The roadshow was the perfect occasion to promote the destination for the summer sales and strengthen visibility amongst the trade to drive tourism growth.
