Seychelles strengthened its visibility in the Indian Ocean market by participating in the annual Tourism and Leisure Fair, Salon du Prêt-à-Partir, held from 29th to 31st August at the Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre (SVICC) in Pailles, Mauritius.

The three-day event brought together international, regional, and local players in the tourism industry, serving as a platform to promote exclusive travel deals and cultural encounters.

Tourism Seychelles, the marketing wing of the destination, collaborated with the national carrier, Air Seychelles, and local destination management company, Tirant Tours & Travel, to showcase the islands’ beauty and unique experiences on a dedicated stand.

Attending the event in Mauritius, Bernadette Honore, Tourism Seychelles’ Senior Marketing Executive for the Indian Ocean region, highlighted the destination’s consistent efforts in the market. She noted a marked growth in interest, with visitor arrivals from Mauritius increasing by 30% year-on-year—from 1,895 in 2024 to 2,456 in 2025.

“Our investments in this market span across activities, workshops, trainings, and of course, events like the Salon du Prêt-à-Partir. The salon remains a fantastic opportunity to connect directly with travellers and showcase what makes Seychelles a truly unique destination. We are equally delighted to collaborate with Air Seychelles and Tirant Tours & Travel in inspiring visitors to plan their next unforgettable escape to our islands,” she said.

Both partners were present at the Seychelles stand, working together to raise the destination’s profile, connect with potential travellers, and strengthen ties with industry partners.

Visitors stopping at the Seychelles stand had access to special promotions on flights, hotel stays, and holiday packages. They also had the chance to sample locally made products and participate in engaging activities such as games and quizzes, creating a richer and more memorable destination experience.

Tourism Seychelles’ participation at the Salon du Prêt-à-Partir reinforces its commitment to strengthening regional partnerships and ensuring Seychelles remains a top-of-mind choice for travellers across the Indian Ocean.
