Tourism Seychelles strengthened its engagement with the Czech travel trade through an innovative “Travel Talk – Seychelles” event in Prague, introducing a dynamic format designed to foster dialogue, inspire storytelling and deepen market connections.

Moving away from conventional workshop-style presentations, the evening focused on open discussion and interactive exchange, creating a platform where Czech travel agents could explore the destination through conversation rather than formal lectures. The refreshed approach encouraged questions, shared experiences and practical insights, reinforcing Seychelles’ commitment to meaningful trade partnerships.

The session was led by Mrs. Lena Hoareau, Tourism Seychelles Manager for the Russia, Central and Eastern Europe markets, accompanied by Marketing Executive Ms. Ingride Asante. Discussions highlighted Seychelles’ diverse accommodation portfolio, island-hopping experiences, immersive activities and the distinctive character of each island, while also addressing evolving traveller expectations.

“The Czech market continues to demonstrate strong interest in Seychelles, and meaningful engagement with our partners is essential to sustaining that momentum,” said Mrs. Hoareau. “By creating a more interactive environment, we ensure that our trade partners feel confident, informed and inspired when presenting Seychelles to their clients.”

The event brought together Czech agents who actively sell Seychelles but have not yet personally experienced the destination. The storytelling-led format proved particularly impactful, allowing agents to share client feedback and discuss practical selling points in a collaborative setting.

Participants welcomed the new approach, describing the evening as more personal, engaging and responsive to their specific needs than traditional workshop formats. The interactive setting enabled direct dialogue, strengthened relationships and provided tailored insights into positioning Seychelles within the Czech market.

With initiatives such as “Travel Talk – Seychelles,” Tourism Seychelles continues to prioritise strategic trade engagement in Central and Eastern Europe, ensuring that partners remain well-equipped to promote the islands as a leading Indian Ocean destination for discerning travellers
