Ethiopian Airlines is set to strengthen its presence in Mozambique with the launch of a new thrice-weekly passenger service to Nacala from 27 October 2026. The northern Mozambican city will become the airline’s third destination in the country, joining its existing services to Maputo and Beira as Ethiopian Airlines continues to expand its network across Africa.

Ethiopian will deploy the Boeing B737-8 aircraft for the service, operating the flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays per the schedule below.

Commenting on the commencement of the new service, Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew, said “As a pan-African airline, expanding our presence in Mozambique with a third destination is truly a proud moment for us. The commencement of this flight will further strengthen the relationship between the people of Mozambique and Ethiopia. With this flight, we will bring our renowned, award-winning service to Nacala, connecting the city with our global network. Standing firm in our core value, we will continue to bridge connectivity gaps across Africa and bring every corner of our continent closer to the world.”

Nacala is a vital center for trade and tourism, and Ethiopian Airlines’ new service will further strengthen the city’s economic, commercial, and diplomatic connectivity. Operating its young and modern fleet, complemented by world-class customer service, Ethiopian will provide an exceptional travel experience to and from Nacala for both business and leisure travelers.

With the largest network in Africa, serving more than 65 destinations across the continent, Ethiopian Airlines continues to play a pivotal role in promoting trade, tourism, and economic integration among African nations, while enhancing connectivity and facilitating business and cultural exchange.
