Malawi joined countries all over the world to celebrate this year’s World Tourism Day with a series of activities which showcased the country’s cultural heritage and local music.

Leading the celebrations was Tourism Minister, Henry Mussa.

The event which was held at the Sunbird Hotel in Lilongwe, also featured an award ceremony.

A recognition award was given to Mr. Peter Makwana of travel Malawi Guide for his contribution towards usage of digital platforms for tourism purposes.
