Run Africa is an Ethiopian athletics and tourism company which connects running enthusiasts interested in Ethiopia’s rich history and culture with running and professional athletics.

We offer personalised high altitude training to all levels of ability from hikers to elite level
runners, allowing them to train with local athletes, to discover Ethiopia’s vibrant running
culture and to immerse themselves in the landscapes and routines which have produced generations of Olympic champions.

Established in 2015 and headquartered in Addis Ababa, our portfolio comprises guided training programmes for- individuals, groups and clubs alike. Our clients follow training regimes which map those of the East African success stories, including meeting some of the best distance athletes in the world. We guarantee a training experience which will suit them, challenge them and inspire them. Run Africa also offers an immersive cultural exchange between people from diverse backgrounds through love of running and experience sharing.

Additional to the business, in 2016 we also established Run Africa Athletics Sports Club, a competitive running club and social enterprise registered with the Ethiopian Athletics Federation. During 2017 and 2018 we have grown the Club as a platform for both athletic success and for holistic skill building of our athlete members, training them in a variety of disciplines (including first aid, massage, life skills, gender awareness and English language) in order to broaden their post-athletic career opportunities.
