Republic of Congo is set to hold the first edition of the Caravan for African Charter on Sustainable and Responsible Tourism.

The event is slated for the 14th and 15th February 2019 at the Radisson Hotel in the country’s capital, Brazzaville.

This follows an initiative in 2016 by the Kingdom of Morocco in partnership with the UN World Trade Organization (UNWTO) on the sidelines of the Conference of the Parties (COP-22) in Marrakech, Morocco.

The 2-day summit will be held under the patronage of the President of Congo Brazzaville, Denis Sassou Nguessan and the Secretary General of UNWTO Ambassador Zurab Pololikashvili.

It will discuss the current and future economic, social and environmental impacts of the cop 22.
