Hilton Nairobi to mark centennial celebration with tree planting exercise

As part of activities marking the centennial anniversary of Hilton Hotels, the Hilton Nairobi, Double Tree by Hilton Hurlingham and Hilton Garden Inn JKIA will join hands to plant hundred trees to rehabilitate the Nairobi Central Park. The event is scheduled to take place on 29th of May 2019.

The exercise forms part of the hotel’s way of creating awareness on the need to have a functional urban park in the city.

Hilton began operations in Nairobi on December 17th , 1969, operating a chain of hotels that included the famous Salt Lick Safari Lodge and the Taita Hills Lodge. Hilton Nairobi – its flagship hotel in the country has been an icon in the city center for many decades and the brands portfolio has since grown to include the Double Tree by Hilton Hurlingham and the Hilton Garden Inn JKIA.

Hilton shall mark 100 years of global operations on the 31st of May 2019. Founded by Conrad Hilton in Cisco Texas a century ago in 1919, Hilton has evolved to become an iconic, global brand with a portfolio of 17 world-class brands comprising more than 5,700 properties with more than 923,000 rooms, in 113 countries and territories.
