UNWTO Executive Council endorses Secretary General’s Agenda for Africa

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Executive Council has endorsed the Secretary General’s Agenda for Africa.

At its recently ended 110th Council Meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan the Secretary General of the Organization Zurab Pololikashvili presented to council members his plans, institutional reforms, and financial statement for the organization.

The bold four-year plan is aimed at realizing the potential of tourism for Africa, with a special focus on tourism as a driver of poverty alleviation, job creation and professional development.

Brand Africa and education are integral part of the Agenda

Members welcomed the UNWTO Agenda for Africa 2030. The implementation of the agenda is expected to begin in earnest.
