World’s largest E-tourism community, International Federation for Information Technologies and Travel and Tourism (IFITT) is looking to expand its footprint on the African continent.

IFITT is the leading independent global community for the discussion, exchange and development of knowledge about the use and impact of new information and communications technologies (ICT) in the travel and tourism industry.

The company aims to extend its African network through seminars and workshops “where we can learn from one another on how to enhance and use new information and communications technologies in the tourism industry,” says Patience Tropo, head of Africa office in Lusaka.

Tropo thinks IFITT will be great platform for Africa, “we get to support each other diverse tourist attractions and also share knowledge on E-tourism, research and development of tourism technologies.”

She is therefore encouraging tourism industry players on the continent to sign up to the IFITT platform as they present a unique opportunity to share knowledge, experience and true passion for ICT in Travel and Tourism. “I would like to encourage everyone to sign up as IFITT member and be part of this wonderful community. Once a member you also get to enjoy lots of members’ benefits.”

IFITT also encourages excellence in the research, development and implementation of tourism technologies. It organizes the annual tourism conference dubbed “ENTER.” The next edition will be held in Surrey, UK from 8-10 January 2020.
