#UNWTOGA: 23rd General Assembly goes paperless

With less than one week to the gathering of echelons in the tourism industry in St Petersburg, Russia for the 23rd UNWTO general assembly, UNWTO has strengthened its efforts towards environmental sustainability by implementing paperless events and conferences.

In this regard, the UN Tourism body has introduced a mobile app for the 23rd session of the UNWTO General Assembly! It has all the important information you’ll need for the event, and features to enhance your experience.

It has announced its application dedicated to the activities and coverage of the 23rd session of the UNWTO General Assembly.

An alert of the application has been sent to registered participants of the event informing them of the procedures in downloading the application both on IOS and Android.

By downloading the app, you will easily be able to:
* Schedule and organize your agenda;
* Download the official 23GA and 111EC documents;
* Receive push notifications and updates on the various events activities;
* Access the activity feed and stay connected;
* Check the agenda and location of the sessions;
* Access information on the speakers;
* Network with other attendees;
* Support a paperless event!

How?

Step 1: Download the App!
The first thing you’ll need to do is download the App on the device you’re bringing to the event. Then, come back to this email and click Verify Account (Step 2).

If you are an iOS user, after downloading the App, you will find the event by writing “UNWTO” in the search field.

Don’t have iOS or Android? Skip Step 1 and go straight to Step 2 to verify your account and use the mobile web version of the app.

The General Assembly is the supreme organ of UNWTO. Its ordinary sessions are held every two years and is attended by delegates from UNWTO Full and Associate Members, as well as representatives from UNWTO Affiliate Members. It is considered the most important global meeting of senior tourism officials and high-level ‎representatives of the private sector.
