Ivory Coast: 4th Adeye Kessie Festival launched

The fourth edition of the Adaye Kessie festival has been launched in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

The Adaye Kessie is an annual festival celebrated by the Brong ancestry of Ghana and Cote d’ivoire.

Speaking at the event, the Director General of Côte d’Ivoire Tourism Jean Marie Soumet said, the event is not only a celebration of the two ancestry but it will also create the avenue to promote the cultural offering to the world.

The CEO and bankroller of the Adeye Kessie Foundation Bini Outtara Daouda in his presentation to the gathering said, culture was key to development of people and the foundation is determined to employ all innovative ways to promote the culture.

He added that, the culture goes beyond just celebrations but it will contribute to job creation as well.

This year’s event is slated for 12-16 November 2019 in Brong Kingdom of Akidoom in Tabagne
