The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) is aggressively pursuing the Scandinavian and Nordic regions in a bid to attract more visitors to Ghana.

The Authority has taken its marketing efforts to the Matka Nordic Travel Fair
ongoing in Helsinki, Finland.

The GTA is confident the exhibition will afford them the opportunity to market Ghana’s nature and cultural asset in the Scandinavia and Nordic regions.

They believe the quest by the Scandinavian travellers to discover cultural and other authentic tourism offerings makes Ghana a viable option and working hard to attract them.

Ghana’s delegation to the Baltic region is composed of officials from the Ghana Tourism Authority, Forestry Commission, Sunseekers Tours, Apstar Tours, M&J and Nicnet Tours.

This is the second travel exhibition the Authority is attending in Europe this year after the just ended Vakantiebeurs holiday Fair in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Ghana’s stand was busy with enquiries about the destination

Matka is the biggest travel industry event in Northern Europe and the Baltic region. It attracts both Finnish and international travel trade professionals from Sweden, Denmark and Norway as well as the general public interested in travelling. Annually about 50.000 consumers and almost 20.000 travel trade professionals visit the event.
