Meetings Africa, the continent’s premier business events, is fast approaching with 3 days to go.

It has in the last decade and half offered the right platform to network, learn new trends in the industry and above all close deals.

This year’s event will run from 24-26 February 2020 at the Sandton Convention Centre.

The Chief Executive Officer of South African Tourism Sisa Ntshona in an exclusive interview with VoyagesAfriq on the sidelines of the just ended Global Tourism Investment Forum held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire said, Meetings Africa has always provided the conducive platform to put on display Africa’s capabilities.

’’This is the place where we showcase the continent’s competencies and capabilities of holding events and conferences. It is important that the continent of Africa gets together and make sure to up our game in our market share on the business events side”

“By nature conferences rotate and we would rather let it rotate within the continent especially on topics that we are the thought leaders on or kinda far ahead of others” he added .

’’Often when we talk about tourism many people default to think of leisure tourism. However, there is an important side which is the business events side of it- The MICE ( Meetings, Incentives, Conferences Exhibition)

He said South Africa is one of the continent’s leaders when it comes to the MICE sector and would be great to showcase the best of Africa to the world.

“We got the infrastructure, capabilities to deliver sleek and world class events that can position the continent as a place to come and grow.” he concluded.
.
Meetings Africa will be celebrating 15 years of advancing Africa together.
