Zambia: Chitotela inaugurates new ZTA board

The Minister of Tourism and Arts in Zambia Ronald Chitotela has inaugurated the new Board of Directors for the Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA).

The Tourism Agency has not been without a board since the dissolution of the previous board by the minister in September 2019.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Chitotela said, he was confident the new board will bring their rich expertise to bear on the activities of the Agency and charged them to ensure that quality service standards is visible in the tourism industry.

He added that, the objective of the Ministry of Tourism going forward is to make the ministry as a number one economic earner for Zambia

The 11-member Board is headed by Dr Tecla Ngwenya

Below is the list of the new board

Dr. Tecla Ngwenya – Chairperson

Dr. A . Ponga – PS Tourism

Dr. E.M Pamu – PS Finance

Dr. E. Chomba – PS Local Govt

Dr. D. Lungu – Immigration

Dr. W. Wilson Silungwe- ZITHS

Ms. Seline – Attorney General’s office

Mrs Jess Mwale Simukoko – ZIM

Mrs Ireen Mwansa Chongo – lodge owner Mansa

Mrs Ireen Chipili- ZEMA

Mr. Zuze Mwelwa Tembo – Chimwemwe Hotel Petauke
