Mahe gears up for 4th Seychelles Fashion Week

The capital of Seychelles Island, Mahe is preparing feverishly to stage this year’s edition of the Seychelles Fashion Week (SFW).

Going into its fourth year, the show has grown into becoming one of the must attend fashion shows in the Africa region.

The 4th edition is scheduled to take place on Saturday 27th November at the plush L’Escale Resort Marina & Spa in Mahe.

The Seychelles Fashion week is aimed at positioning the archipelago island as a Fashion Tourism destination.

Speaking exclusively to VoyagesAfriq from his Seychelles base, the founder of the show Terry Carolla said, the event has over the years encouraged the growth for Designers to produce high quality line of clothing specifically for International Markets/Buyers. He added that, the SFW is looking at making it a permanent feature in the tourism season.

Eighteen designers made of six and twelve internationals from South Africa, Qatar, France and France.

The SFW provides exchange program and E-commerce platform amongst designers and assisting in the development and expansion of services while encouraging the expansion of Seychelles Fashion products, services, capital, and technology.

SFW is an annual event in Seychelles as an International Fashion Week assisting to develop the Seychelles Fashion Industry
