AviaDev Africa releases program line up for next month’s event

The organisers of AviaDev Africa have released the agenda for next month’s event. The event will bring together leading industry speakers alongside unique networking opportunities, uniting the industry, and driving increased connectivity.

AviaDev attracts representatives from across Africa and internationally. Airlines attending include: Airlink, Air Belgium, Air Botswana, Air France, Air Zimbabwe, Africa World Airlines, Alfa Airlines, ASKY, Astral Aviation, Badr Airlines, Blue Sky Airways, CemAir, Congo Airways, Comair Limited, delta, Ethiopian, Emirates, Eurowings, fastjet, Federal Airlines, Fly Namibia, Fly Safair, Hahn Air, Kenya Airways, KLM, LAM, Lift, Lufthansa Group, Proflight Zambia, Qatar Airways, Royal Eswatini, South African Airways, TAAG, Uganda Airlines, United, Virgin Atlantic, Vueling and WestAF

The event will facilitate pre-arranged one-to-one meetings between commercial representatives of the above airlines with those involved in developing connectivity to, from and within Africa.

Day One will begin with a macroeconomic look at post-pandemic Africa and where the opportunities and challenges lie with Daniel Silke, Director, Political Futures Consulting. Panel sessions will discuss the building of profitable, sustainable and equitable airline partnerships, Air Cargo’s role in African route development and how to diversify airport revenues to build resilience. Leading speakers include Jenifer Bamuturaki, Ag Chief Executive Officer, Uganda Airlines; David King, Cape Town Air Access Project Manager, WESGRO; Simon Newton-Smith, Chief Commercial Officer, South African Airways; Moritz Breickmann, Investment Director, African Infrastructure Investment Managers; Namory Camara, Managing Director, SOGEAC Aeroport de Conakry.

Day Two will discuss where the opportunities are for OEMs in Africa, implementing practical technologies to propel African aviation and financing African airlines. Among the speakers: Kuljit S Ghata-Aura, President, Middle East Turkey and Africa, Boeing; Francisco Moraes, Sales Director Africa, Embraer; Jonathan Ayache, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, lift; Sameer Adam, Senior Vice President – Commercial, ACIA Aero Leasing. The event comes to an end with our Ambassador session, hearing the thoughts of our future leaders and the presentation of the Ato Girma Wake Lifetime Achievement Award to Sanjeev Gadhia, Chief Executive Officer, Astral Aviation.
