Leadership changes at Rwanda Convention Bureau; Janet Karemera new head

The Deputy CEO of the Rwanda Convention Bureau (RCB) Janet Karemera has been elevated to the position of CEO following a communique from the office of the Prime Minister announcing executive changes by President Paul Kagame.

Mrs. Karemera replaces her former boss Nelly Mukazayire who has been promoted to deputize Claire Akamanzi at the Rwanda Development Board.

In a tweet, Mrs. Karemera said, it was an honour to serve her country and looking forward to working with the mice stakeholders in Rwanda to grow the industry.

‘’It remains an honour to continue to serve our country. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our Leadership for entrusting me with this new role. I’m also excited to work with all stakeholders to continue to grow the MICE industry with @RCBrwanda’’ she tweeted.

The new changes also see Candy Basomingera, formerly at the office of the Government spokesperson assume the role of a deputy CEO at RCB.

RCB promotes Rwanda as a preferred MICE tourism destination & facilitates the organization of #meetings #incentives conferences| #events.
