Botswana Tourism hosts local operators at the ongoing Tourism Expo Japan (TEJ) 2023. Participation at these international tourism expos is an excellent way for Botswana to showcase its tourism offerings and attract visitors from growth markets such as the Japanese market.

Botswana, known for its rich biodiversity, stunning landscapes, and unique cultural experiences has much to offer to the Japanese market. Hosting local operators at the TEJ Expo helps promote Botswana as a travel destination, establish business connections, increase tourism revenue for the country. It’s a positive initiative for both the local tourism industry and the international visitors looking to explore Botswana.

The Operators include destination management companies, tour operators and accommodation providers seeking to sell their various packages. The operators have both pre-booked appointments and are making more appointments during the Expo.

The travel show is expected to welcome over 150,000 visitors, offering a fusion of opportunities, ranging from business meetings, insights sharing, discussions, and direct business-to-business and business-to-customer promotions.
