As we commemorate our Independence Month, we are deeply moved by the enduring legacy of emancipation and self determination epitomized by our revered figures like Bai Bureh, Sengbeh Pieh, Kailondo, Madam Yoko to name a few. Their courage and steadfastness serve as timeless reminders of the indomitable spirit of Sierra Leoneans. During this special time, we also pay homage to Sierra Leoneans who have distinguished themselves in diverse fields at home and abroad, bringing added recognition to the land that we love.
We are harnessing our nation’s rich history as the “Gateway to Freedom and Liberation” this month to reshape our narrative through the lens of Tourism. Stemming from our people’s resilience, optimism, and ambition, we have a compelling story to share – one that truly reflects who we are as a nation.
