Africa Showcase orchestrated a dynamic week in the Nordics for the 2024 edition, reconnecting with travel partners and creating new contacts. The roadshow, organized by On Show Solutions, was characterised by its speed and impact, as exhibitors seized the opportunity to engage with over 120 operators and agents across Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.

Designed to invigorate seasoned Africa specialists and welcome newcomers into the African travel market, the events radiated warmth and hospitality, leaving a lasting impression on attendees.

As expected, Team Africa brought its A-game, providing comprehensive market and product updates spanning Botswana, Congo, Kenya, Madagascar, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The diverse offerings attracted significant interest from buyers, as evidenced by the robust attendance throughout the roadshow.

The organisers Onshow Solutions thanked  World of Destinations, the event’s special partner, for the invaluable guidance in navigating the market, facilitating invitations, and ensuring strong buyer participation.

“Returning to Copenhagen after two years, our exhibitors flourished in the majestic concert hall within the city’s royal district, attracting a notable turnout of attendees, including esteemed guests such as the South African Ambassador and embassy colleagues,” On Show Solutions noted with excitement.

Moreover, in Oslo, the palpable enthusiasm of the Norwegian attendees underscored the success of the event, with an impressive turnout of operators and buyers. Oslo, according to the organisers, always delivers on the business and these connections remain in place for years to come.

“The finale in Stockholm further solidified our optimism for the African travel market in the region, with a strong attendance reaffirming the robust prospects for future collaborations,” On Show Solutions concluded.

Meanwhile, the buyers had a successful outing at the event and were excited at sharing their experiences.
“It is always a great event, and one of the best workshops we attend and that is why we keep coming back year after year.

“Africa Showcase is the place to be for everyone selling Africa. Here we meet suppliers who are passionate about their products, gain new insight and inspiration to this mysterious, unique and beautiful continent of Africa.
“The only problem with the event is that when I leave, my desire to go back to Africa has increased ten times – I just want to get on the plane to explore more,” Unike Reiser AS, noted.

On his part, Bennett Asker, another buyer, thanked all the fantastic trade partners for a wonderful and inspiring evening.Asker described the event as an, “Incredible few hours of excellent networking. Cannot wait to keep the conversations going”.
