Aviadev Africa will on June 19, 2024, organise a masterclass on air route development for tourism authorities at the Movenpick Hotel in Windhoek, Namibia.

The event aims to foster collaboration between airlines and Destination Management Organisations (DMOs) to enhance air route development and bolster tourism growth across Africa.

Key topics of discussion at the masterclass include strategies for unlocking new destinations through partnerships between airlines and DMOs, best practices for digital marketing campaigns to raise destination awareness, responsible sharing and utilization of passenger data for refining tourism strategies, overcoming administrative hurdles such as visa requirements and creating marketing synergy between airlines and tourist destinations.

The significance of this masterclass lies in its emphasis on collaboration as a key driver of success in the tourism industry. By bringing together stakeholders from the airline industry and tourism authorities, the event seeks to facilitate dialogue, share insights and explore innovative solutions to common challenges.

With air travel playing a fundamental role in tourism destination growth, Aviadev Africa’s initiative underscores the importance of cooperation between stakeholders in the aviation and tourism sectors. The masterclass aims to empower participants with the knowledge and resources to drive sustainable tourism development and economic growth across the continent.

The event is expected to attract attendees from airlines, DMOs, government agencies, and tourism industry professionals from across Africa. Participants will have the opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insights from industry experts.
