UN Tourism: Barcelona hosts 121st Executive Council Meeting today

The 121st session of UN Tourism’s Executive Council is set to open today 10-11 June in Barcelona, Spain.

The session is the first of the year.

UN Tourism is expected to welcome delegations from over 30 countries to its Council meeting.

The Executive Council is UN Tourism’s governing board responsible for ensuring that the organization carries out its work and adheres to its budget. It meets at least twice a year and is composed of members elected by the General Assembly in a ratio for one for every five full members..

Saudi Arabia is the current chair of the council with DR Congo and Jamaica as First Vice and Second Vice respectively.
