SA Ambassador to Spain Presents Credentials to UN Tourism Head

The Secretary-General of UN Tourism (World Tourism Organization), H.E Zurab Pololikashvili, has received Her Excellency Ms. Sankie Dolly Mthembi-Mahanyele, South Africa’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, at the Organization’s headquarters in Madrid, Spain.

Welcoming the South African envoy, Mr. Pololikashvili expressed strong enthusiasm about South Africa’s upcoming G20 presidency, describing it as a significant opportunity to deepen international collaboration and promote sustainable and inclusive tourism.

“As South Africa leads the G20 for the first time, we look forward to working together to advance sustainable, inclusive tourism and global investment,” read a post on the Secretary-General’s official X account.

South Africa has been a member of UN Tourism since 1994.
