Angola’s Ministry of Tourism is participating in the 2026 CMT Fair in Stuttgart, Germany, one of Europe’s largest consumer travel events, as part of its international destination promotion strategy. Led by Minister Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, the Angolan delegation has been in Stuttgart since Wednesday ahead of the fair, which runs from January 17 to 25 and typically attracts more than 260,000 visitors, providing a key platform for destination marketing and direct tourism sales.

The destination is showcasing a portfolio of tourism products at CMT Stuttgart targeting the DACH market—Germany, Austria and Switzerland—with itineraries focused on the country’s cultural heritage, gastronomy and adventure offerings. According to Tourism Minister Márcio de Jesus Lopes Daniel, the country’s participation marks the launch of its official international promotion under the “Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life” brand, supported by a planned programme of appearances at major international tourism fairs throughout 2026.

The minister said the government is also focusing on destination readiness alongside international promotion, with measures aimed at improving visitor reception and service standards. He pointed to visa facilitation and enhanced air connectivity as key priorities within the African regional context to support sustainable tourism growth. Angola’s role as Host Country at CMT 2026 Stuttgart, he added, underscores the government’s commitment to internationalising the national tourism brand, attracting investment into the sector, and strengthening partnerships with European tour operators, travel agents and other industry stakeholders.
