Ms. Rakić brings more than 30 years of experience in the tourism industry, with expertise spanning destination marketing, tourism product development, industry strengthening, and entrepreneurship within Seychelles’ tourism sector.

She holds a BA (Hons) in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from London South Bank University and has built an extensive career working with several leading tourism and hospitality organisations in Seychelles.

Before her appointment, Ms. Rakić served as Director and Senior Consultant at Sales & Marketing Seychelles Pty Ltd. According to the Office of the President, Ms. Rakić has demonstrated a strong ability to improve market access, strengthen tourism distribution channels, encourage innovation, and foster collaboration among stakeholders across the tourism value chain.

The Seychelles Tourism Board is responsible for promoting Seychelles as a leading and sustainable tourism destination. The Board develops national marketing strategies, strengthens the country’s tourism brand in established and emerging markets, and supports the diversification of tourism products and experiences.

It also works closely with local and international partners to enhance visitor experiences and promote sustainable growth in line with the country’s national development goals.

In her new role, Ms. Rakić is expected to lead efforts to strengthen Seychelles’ position in the global tourism market, improve the destination’s competitiveness, and ensure the sector continues to generate economic benefits while preserving the country’s environmental and cultural heritage.
