The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) is pleased to announce the return of tourism marketing veteran, Mr David Germain, who rejoined the organisation on 1 August 2026 as Dedicated Representative for the Americas and Canada.
Mr Germain returns to STB after an illustrious career spanning more than four decades in the tourism industry, bringing with him a wealth of experience, strategic insight and long-standing relationships across key international markets.
Having begun his tourism career with Travel Services Seychelles (TSS), Mr Germain later joined Tourism Services Zimbabwe, managing their operations in Victoria Falls and the company’s operations in Zambia and Botswana. In 2006, he joined the then Seychelles Tourism Board, where he successfully led the organisation’s marketing efforts across Africa before assuming responsibility for both Africa and the Americas as Regional Director.
During his previous tenure, Mr Germain played a key role in positioning Seychelles as a premier island destination, strengthening the country’s presence in North America and across the African continent. His strategic leadership, industry knowledge and strong trade relationships contributed significantly to enhancing the destination’s visibility and appeal in these strategic markets.
In his new role, Mr Germain will oversee the Americas market in its entirety, providing strategic direction and market expertise to further strengthen Seychelles’ presence and competitiveness across that region.
Welcoming his return, Chief Executive Officer of STB, Ms Vesna Rakic, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mr Germain back to STB. His extensive experience, deep understanding of the tourism industry, and exceptional knowledge of the Americas market make him a tremendous asset to our organisation. We are confident that his leadership and strategic insight will further strengthen our marketing efforts and help us build on the momentum in this important market.”
Mr Germain on his part, said it is a privilege to be back on the team and to continue with a mission that he is passionate about.
“It is a privilege to return to STB and continue contributing to the promotion of our beautiful islands. Tourism has always been my passion and I look forward to working alongside the team and our valued partners to further enhance Seychelles’ visibility in the Americas and strengthen relationships with the travel trade.”
