The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has extended the deadline for the submission of event proposals for the 2026 edition of December in GH, giving event organisers, promoters, cultural innovators and experience creators more time to submit their concepts for consideration.
The new deadline is Monday, September 7, 2026.
The extension is expected to provide stakeholders with additional opportunity to develop and submit compelling events and experiences that will contribute to Ghana’s premier festive season, which continues to attract visitors from across the world.
The December in GH 2026 calendar will run from December 1, 2026, to January 3, 2027, bringing together a vibrant mix of culture, creativity, entertainment, heritage, gastronomy and immersive experiences.
The initiative invites both international visitors and Ghanaians to discover and experience the diversity, energy and creativity that define Ghana during the festive season.
As a defining expression of the Black Star Experience, December in GH has evolved beyond a conventional events calendar into a nationwide cultural celebration. It provides a platform for showcasing the country’s diverse rhythms, stories, flavours, traditions and creative expressions while connecting visitors with authentic Ghanaian experiences.
Events selected for inclusion will form part of the official December in GH 2026 programme. They will also benefit from integration into the national campaign and promotion through the Ghana Tourism Authority’s local and international marketing and promotional platforms.
Event organisers and promoters are therefore encouraged to take advantage of the extended deadline and submit innovative, high-quality concepts that can enrich the December in GH experience and further position Ghana as a leading destination for culture, entertainment and tourism during the festive season.
Interested organisers are encouraged to submit their proposals by Monday, September 7, 2026, via www.bit.ly/3P2Tdbi
