VoyagesAfriq Media Limited has been named the most-outstanding travel media in Africa.

This was at the maiden Pan-African Tourism Leadership Awards in 2018 held in Accra on August 31. The event was part of the inaugural Africa Tourism Leadership Forum organized by the Africa Tourism Partners with support from the Ghana Tourism Authority and Ministry of Tourism.

VoyagesAfriq is a pan African travel and tourism media (headquartered in Ghana) with flagship publication, VoyagesAfriq travel magazine along with the online portal and PR agency. It was recently recognized by United Nations World Trade Organization (UNWTO) as partner in global tourism development.

VoyagesAfriq beat two other nominees Katchie Nzama, South Africa and Nigeria’s Discoveria to emerge the number one travel media on the continent.

There were nine (9) award categories in the maiden Pan-African Tourism Leadership Awards which seek to recognize and celebrate countries, organizations and individuals for their outstanding accomplishments in tourism development across Africa.

Other award winners of the night included Rwanda Development Board (Progressive Policies’ Award), Lekan – Kehinde, Michael Oluwadamilare – Discoveria (Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award), Carmen Nibigira (Women in Leadership Award), South Africa (Most Innovative Business Tourism Destination Award), and Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve (Outstanding Accommodation Facility),

The rest are Ethiopian Airlines (Outstanding Tourism Transportation Award), Wilderness Safari (Championing Sustainability Award) and Professor Wangari Muta Maathai (Destination Africa – Lifetime Award”)
