2019 Seville WTTC Global Summit to attract record delegates

A record number of delegates, international delegations, speakers, and media will form the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit to be held in Seville, Spain, next week.

Over 1,500 delegates will participate in the most important Travel & Tourism event of the year.

Every year, WTTC, which represents the global private sector of Travel & Tourism, holds its Global Summit in a different city around the world. The 2019 WTTC Global Summit will take place in Seville, Spain, on 2-4 April and will be hosted by Ayuntamiento of Seville, Turismo Andaluz and Turespaña.

It will consist of:

Over 1,500 delegates from over 50 countries
100 WTTC Members, global CEOs
130 WTTC Member company representatives
25 Governmental delegations including from:
The United States of America
Argentina
Egypt
Kenya
Saudi Arabia
Over 100 expert speakers
400 media from around the world
17 different events

The class-leading Global Leaders Dialogue – a unique policy exchange between the public and private sector featuring 20 government ministers and company CEOs

The Global Summit will be centred on the theme of ‘Changemakers’. The Travel & Tourism leaders will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the departure of the first circumnavigation of the world, which set out from Seville, while shaping the future of our sector.

Gloria Guevara, President & CEO, WTTC said: “The WTTC Global Summit will be the most important Travel & Tourism event of 2019 and fitting recognition of a sector which contributed 10.4% to global GDP last year and supported 319 million jobs across the world last year.
